Grow your own Garden Seeds
Grow your own Garden Seeds
with Don Tipping
Saturday, May 15, 2010, 1-4:00 PM, at the Frog Farm, $30
Careful planning now can enable you to grow many of the seeds that you and your neighbors use in the garden. In addition to saving money, you will learn to breed and select varieties best adapted to the challenges of our climate, pests, diseases and soils. Learn the basic reproduction biology of common garden plants, including polination requirements, planning specifics and more.
Don Tipping and his family have stewarded Seven Seeds Farm and Suskiyou Seeds for the past 13 years on the north slope of Greyback Mountain in Williams, OR. Lauded as one of the best examples of a Biodynamic and Permaculture farm in the Northwest, they produce friuts, vegetables, seeds, wool, eggs and lamb.
