with Don Tipping
Saturday, April 10, 2010, 1-4:00PM, at the Frog Farm. Cost: $30
Learn to design, plant and care for food forests that will feed your family for generations! Explore the concepts of permaculture, nectar flow, beneficial insects, pollinators, nitrogen fixation, dynamic accumulators, fodder for animals, shade, reliance to climate change and multiple yields.
Propogation techniques will be discussed: cuttings, grafting layering and seed.
Don Tipping and his family have stewarded Seven Seeds Farm and Siskiyou Seeds for the past 13 years on the north slope of Greyback Mountain in Williams, OR. Lauded as one of the best examples of a small productive Biodynamic and Permaculture farm in the Northwest, they produce fruits, vegetables, seeds, eggs, wool and lamb.
