Resource Libraries

Spiral Living Center’s Resource Library has over 1650 books relating to homesteading, rural skills, and sustainable living. Our library was closed from 2020-2022 due to public health concerns. Now in 2024, we are actively cataloging our library and documenting genres and titles into a new digital database with the aid of wonderful volunteers! All Spiral Living Members are able to browse our collection online through Tiny Cat Library, and borrow books, puzzles, and games for up to 2 weeks. Scroll below to view our complete collection. Our physical SLC library is located upstairs in the barn at Frog Farm in Takilma, Oregon. Public hours of operation will be posted soon on our Events Calendar.

We are currently working on putting together a Tool Rental “library” also at Frog Farm, that will also be available to our SLC Members. Tools include but are not limited to: shovels, rakes, garden hoes, wheel barrows, electric saws, small hand tools, and etc. We accept old, broken, or dull tools that can be repaired and available to borrow. New tools are always welcome! Email us to find a good time to come and drop off any tool/book donations.

Have tools or volunteer time to donate? Contact our Executive Director Deb Lukas at spiral@spiralliving.org. Want to become a Spiral Living Center Member and access both of these libraries? Learn more on our Membership Page.
